Petrified Forest National Park

Just off Interstate 40 in northeastern Arizona, Petrified Forest National Park is often overlooked as just a drive-through park. But, if you take the time to explore, there is so much more that it offers. Be bold and different, and enter from the south instead of the north entrance (which is just off the interstate).

You’ll find scattered colorful remnants of ancient trees that have effectively been turned to stone. As you head north through the park’s road, you’ll find the Painted Desert. Jump out onto your feet and enjoy one of the short hikes to explore and experience this beautifully colorful area.

While you can’t camp inside the park, get in touch with us to design your journey to Petrified Forest National Park; we can help make your trip check all your boxes!
