Indiana Dunes National Park

Just an hour from Chicago is a mix of lakeshore, forest, prairie, and (if the name didn’t give it away) dunes. Indiana Dunes National Park is a full-spectrum experience. Check out hiking trails (like the Dune Succession Trail) that take you from the beach to the dunes and yield awesome views of Lake Michigan.
