Lake Clark National Park

We’ve featured a number of watery parks lately, and today is no exception. Lake Clark National Park & Preserve is located southwest of Anchorage in a tidy triangle of parks (including Kenai Fjords National Park and Katmai National Park). As with Katmai National Park, Lake Clark National Park cannot be reached by the road system, and instead accessed (most frequently) by plane.

A short plane ride from Homer (or a number of other towns) will land you in the serene beauty (and relative solitude) that Lake Clark National Park is known for. Where you land is based upon what you’d like to do, whether that’s hiking, backpacking, hunting, fishing, or rafting.

Alaska’s National Parks are massive, just like the state itself, and the planning aspect of including them in your trip can be daunting at times. We’re travelled the state as well as the parks, and would love to design your journey, just send us a message and we’ll take it from there!
