Kentucky Adventure Tour
The Kentucky Adventure Tour (KAT), is an approximately 1,000 mile loop through Kentucky, West Virginia, and Tennessee that varies in terrain from paved country backroads to extremely technical trail sections. Similar to the BDRs we’ve posted about, the route was initially created with adventure bikes in mind, but has been adapted for 4x4s.
Exploring Kentucky’s off pavement landscapes are impressive, and the KAT incorporates much of the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway into its route. It also traverses well known areas as the Red River Gorge and Big South Fork National Recreation Area. With several offshoots and optional more technical sections, a wide variety of 4x4 vehicles can enjoy the route.
While some stock 4x4 vehicles can complete the route without issue, the vast majority should be at least somewhat prepared/modified. A route like this is the perfect reason to connect with us to discuss proper modifications to your vehicle as well as to plan your adventure!
