Denali National Park
As the northernmost US National Park that is accessible on the road system, Denali National Park takes some effort to get to for the average person, but the stunning views are worth it. Even in the photos below, where the park is shrouded in smoke from wildfires, it is imposingly majestic.
Located approximately 2/3rds of the way between Anchorage and Fairbanks along the George Parks Highway, Denali National Park can be easily accessed from either of Alaska’s two most populated cities.
What’s the best way to see Denali National Park? Starting with a bus tour is probably the best way to get a tour and overview of the park, but from there pick a hike and get (further) out into the wilderness!
