Anchor Point

There are a few places on each continent that are required stops when you’re anywhere near them, or, for those adventurous folks, even when you aren’t. Anchor Point, Alaska is one of those. This seemingly nondescript town of just under 2,300 people is one that plenty of people drive right through on the way to or from Homer, Alaska on the Kenai Peninsula.

What makes it special? There’s a small sign that you’ll find on the side of the road, that indicates that you are at the westernmost point of the North American road system! To many this may be a trivial fact, but to those who enjoy traveling to all parts of the continent, it allows you to check a box that you may have on your bucket list!

If Anchor Point sounds like something that either is on, or needs to be added to your bucket list, reach out to us to set up a trip for you!
